Robert Williams (Sr., West Covina, Calif. / Northview) blasted a two-run homer to left field, capping a three-run Macalester ninth inning, as Macalester rallied for a 3-1 triumph over St. John's in an elimination game Saturday at the MIAC Playoffs in Minnetonka.
Starting pitcher

Eric Robinson (Sr., San Francisco, Calif. / The Urban School) pitched a solid 2 2/3 frames to pick up the win and improve to 8-1 on the season.
The Scots move on and will play St. Thomas tonight at 6:30 p.m. in another elimination game. The Tommies fell 4-3 to Hamline in Saturday's second game.
The Johnnies broke open a pitcher's dual with a solo run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Down to the final inning of the season, Macalester responded in the clutch in the top of the ninth.
Nathan Rubin (Jr., Venice, Fla.) walked to lead off the rally.
Ross Bronfenbrenner (Fy., San Anselmo, Calif. / Marin Academy) pinch ran for Rubin, advanced to second on a wild pitch and went to third on a ground out. He then tied the game 1-1 on another wild pitch.
After
Mitch Glasser (Sr., Chicago, Ill. / The Latin School) struck out for the first time all season in the seventh, he responded with a single to right, setting the stage for the game-winning blast by Williams, his fourth homer of the season.
