Why I chose Macalester:
Macalester was the best school I got into, with the most financial aid, and the opportunity to play baseball for four years. It was a no-brainer.
What Macalester has meant to me:
Macalester has become a home away from home. It has helped me develop my life goals and pushed me to a whole new level. Mac has challenged me from the first day I walked on campus. That challenge has helped shape me into the person I am today.
How Macalester Baseball has shaped me as an individual:
Baseball has played a tremendous role in my development as an individual. I have learned how to balance school, sports, and social life. It has also allowed me to be a part of something special, winning the school's first baseball MIAC title in 61 years.
How being a student-athlete has prepared me for life after graduation:
Sports prepare you for life. With a career in the armed forces looming, baseball has prepared me to endure the challenges that are in my future. Life after Mac will be a new step; however, being a student-athlete at Mac has prepared me to take that step without missing a beat.
