Macalester vs. St. Benedict box score

Macalester took on St. Benedict, one of the top teams in the MIAC, and fell 8-1 to the Blazers at Gold's Gym in St. Paul. The Scots drop to 6-4 on the season and 0-3 in the league, while St. Ben's goes to 6-2 overall, 2-1 in MIAC play.

Louise Dickson (Sr., North Oaks, Minn. / Mounds View) and Carmen Whitehead (Fy., Greeley, Colo. / West) accounted for Macalester's win when they claimed an 8-6 decision at No. 3 doubles. Dickson at Whitehead are now 7-1 on the seasoan at third doubles.  At No. 2 singles, Abby Citrin (Sr., Rye Brook, N.Y. / Blind Brook) went to three sets before falling.

The Scots play another top MIAC team Tuesday (March 29) when they go up against St. Thomas at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center at 5 p.m.
