St. Thomas maintained its hold on third place in the conference standings by sweeping the Scots 9-0 Friday night at Hayden Courts.

The closest matches came at first and second singles, where the Tommies pulled off 10-point supersets after the first two sets were split. After dropping first sets, Mac's Stephanie Lee (Sr., Camarillo, Calif. / Oaks Christian) at No. 1 and Amanda Wenzel (Sr., Green Bay, Wis. / Southwest) at No. 2 came back with 6-1 and 6-4 second set triumphs, respectively. In their third sets, Lee lost 10-7 and Wenzel fell 10-6.

Macalester is host to Hamline on Tuesday (April 20) at 6 p.m.
