Macalester vs. St. Benedict box score

Macalester's six-match winning streak was snapped by St. Benedict Sunday at Hayden Courts as the Scots closed out a busy stretch of five matches in six days. The Blazers started the day by sweeping the three doubles matches and went on to win by a 7-2 tally.

Mac's wins came at third and fourth singles. Paige Schaefer (Fy., Madison, Wis. / East) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3, and Abby Citrin (Jr., Rye Brook, N.Y. / Blind Brook) won 7-5, 6-7, 10-6 at No. 4.  Schaefer and Citrin are now both 12-2 on the spring season.

The Scots are now 9-5 on the season and 1-4 in MIAC matches. St. Ben's is now 6-2 overall, 2-1 in MIAC play. Macalester is off until an April 11 conference match at St. Catherine.
