The Scots reached double-digits in the win column, picking up its third straight victory, beating Wisconsin-Eau Claire 2-0 in a non-conference match on Kick Cancer Night at Macalester Stadium. Mac improves to 10-5 on the season, while the Blugolds drop to 11-4-1.  Macalester reaches the 10-win mark for the 21st time in 22 years and clinches its 22nd consecutive winning season.

Kat Lenhart (So., Fairview, N.C. / A.C. Reynolds) headed in a corner kick off the foot of teammate Izzi Speer (Fy., Madison, Wis. / West) to give the Scots the advantage late in the first half on her first goal of the season. Early in the second half, Speer rifled in a shot from 20 yards out to score her first career goal at Macalester and give the Scots a two-goal cushion.

Goalkeeper Rosie Glenn-Finer (So., San Francisco, Calif. / Lick Wilmerding) was sharp in net, turning away seven Eau Claire shots on goal to post her sixth shutout, and third in a row, as the Scots win for the fifth time in six games. Mac's defense, led by Lenhart, Matea Wasend (So., Denver, Colo. / George Washington) and Claire Henkel (So., Lexington, Ky. / Bryan Station). The Scots have allowed only 13 goals in 15 matches this season.

Sitting in a four-way tie for third place in the conference at 5-3, Macalester returns to MIAC action Sunday (Oct. 24) when it plays host to St. Thomas at 7:30.
