Macalester's tournament stats
The Scots handed Stephanie Schleuder her 699th collegiate head coaching victory when they wrapped up weekend play at the Augsburg College Invitational by defeating Lawrence (Wis.) 3-1 in the seventh-place match.
Schleuder, who began her head coaching career in 1972 at Bemidji State, and later coached at the University of Alabama and the University of Minnesota before arriving at Macalester in 1998, needs one more victory to become the 13th active coach in college volleyball at any division to reach 700 wins. In the history of women's college volleyball, only 22 thus far have achieved 700 head coaching wins.
She needs one win to become the third active NCAA Division III coach with 700 career victories
Earlier in the tournament, Macalester was defeated by No. 13-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire 3-0, Northwestern (Minn.) 3-1 and No. 21 St. Benedict 3-1. Macalester's victory over Lawrence came by scores of 25-22, 27-25, 22-25 and 25-16.
