Graham Brown (Fy., Annandale, Minn.) and
Nate Wilson-Traisman (Jr., Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) each collected five hits and the Scots had 26 hits on the game to crush North Central University 26-5 at Nicholson Baseball Field. With five wins in a row, the Scots move over the .500 mark at 13-12.
Brown, who went 5-for-7 in an MIAC doubleheader sweep yesterday over Augsburg, went 5-for-7 in this nine-inning contest and over his last five games played is a sizzling 14-for-19 (.737). Wilson-Traisman was 5-for-6 with five runs scored and four RBI. He had two doubles in the seventh inning and another in the eighth to finish the game with four two-baggers.
Brown is batting .488 on the season and Wilson-Traisman is at .476 with a .714 slugging percentage and 33 RBI.
Joining Brown and Wilson-Traisman in the barrage with three hits apiece were
Erza Wise (Fy., Bronxville, N.Y. / The Hackley School) and
Nick Meerson (Fy., Los Angeles, Calif. / Harvard-Westlake). Wise went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Meerson was 3-for-5 with two RBI. Four other Scots collected a couple hits each:

Louis Mondale (Fy., St. Louis Park, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret) gained the win in his first collegiate start. After three relieve appearances to begin his career, Mondale worked the first five innings, giving up just two runs on four hits. He struck out six batters and didn't walk any.
Brad Johnson (Sr., Mt. Laurel, N.J. / Lenape) worked the final four innings, fanning seven batters and allowing just two earned runs.
PJ Davis went 4-for-4 and scored runs to lead the Rams.
Macalester is 4-4 in the MIAC and returns to conference play Saturday (April 11) at Concordia-Moorhead. The Scots trail just four teams in the standings after an 0-4 start.
