Macalester vs. Carleton box score
The Scots earned wins in five of the six singles matches and went on to defeat Carleton 6-3 at Macalester Tennis Courts. Enjoying of of its best seasons ever, Macalester boosts its record to 12-4 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC, and has clinched a spot in the post-season MIAC playoffs in two weeks.
Angie Horner (So., Bismarck, N.D. / Century) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles;
Stephanie Lee (So., Camarillo, Calif. / Oaks Christian) won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2;
Amanda Wenzel (So., Green Bay, Wis. / Southwest) won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3,
Jenna Harris (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio / Seven Hills) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5, and
Becky Schneider (Jr., Larchmont, N.Y. / Mamaroneck) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
Horner and Lee also joined forces to gain an 8-2 victory at third doubles and are now 14-2 at No. 1 doubles on the spring season.
The Scots host Bethel on Thursday (April 17) at 5 p.m. and host St. Benedict Saturday (April 19) at 9 a.m.
