ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's cross country team held its position at No. 6 in the North Region rankings this week, the USTFCCCA announced today.

None of the teams in the region competed last week, leaving the rankings the same from a week ago. That changes this Saturday, as several teams ranked in the regional and national rankings will be running at Carleton's Pre-Nationals Meet this Saturday. Thirty-four of the 35 teams running in the Navy Championship Division are ranked in their respective regions, including eight teams ranked first in their region.

UW-La Crosse remains the top-ranked team in the North Region, followed by UW-Stevens Point, St. Olaf, UW-Stout and Milwaukee School of Engineering. Macalester enters the rankings at No. 6, with UW-River Falls in seventh, UW-Whitewater in eighth, Carleton in ninth and Bethel in 10th. Everyone except Bethel will be competing in the Navy Championship Division this Saturday.

The Navy Championship Division race begins at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Carleton.
