ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team is ranked 10th in the North Region in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings, which were released today.
The Scots have competed once so far this season, finishing second behind St. Olaf at the Ole Opener on Sept. 4. Senior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) won the race by 30 seconds, earning MIAC Athlete of the Week honors.
UW-La Crosse is ranked first in the North Region ahead of Carleton, UW-Eau Claire, St. Olaf and UW-Stevens Point. Ripon is No. 6, followed by Gustavus, UW-River Falls, UW-Whitewater and Macalester.
Macalester's next race is Friday, Sept. 18 at the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, hosted by Saint Benedict and Saint John's at River Oaks Golf Club in Cold Spring, Minn.
