EDINA, Minn. – The Macalester College women's golf team participated in the St. Kate's Fall Invite, held at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Woodbury on Saturday and at Braemar Golf Course in Edina on Sunday. The Scots finished fifth in the team standings in the final competition before the MIAC Championships.
First year
Yangyang Gu (Nantong, Jiansu, China/Shanghai Experimental School) led Macalester with a two-round score of +8 152 to tie for ninth. Senior
Bailey Lengfelder (Renton, Wash./Hazen) was one stroke behind Gu in a tie for 14th, with sophomore
Ava Austria (Portland, Ore./Catlin Gabel) placing 20th with a score of +11 155. Sophomore
Mia Cluff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) tied for 27th to round out the Scots' top four players.
The MIAC Golf Championships take place on Oct. 4-6 at Braemar.
