ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's tennis team was recognized as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced today. Additionally, each member of the team earned ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic team, the program must register at least a 3.2 grade-point average for the 2024-25 academic school year. Student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 GPA this past year to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete. This year, 165 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction, while 1,269 Division III women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
All nine members of the Macalester women's tennis team earned Scholar-Athlete honors:
Camellia Schwartzman (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) and
Megan Twomey (Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn) of the Class of 2025, rising seniors
Sedona Crosby (St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park),
Savannah Haugen (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) and
Elizabeth Trevathan (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy), and rising sophomores
Rose Burrows (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley),
Berkeley Cox (Sandpoint, Idaho/Sandpoint),
Mary Jacobson (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell-Newburg), and
Greta Laurel (River Falls, Wis./Hudson).
