ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team was named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced today. Additionally, six members of the team earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic team, the program must register at least a 3.2 grade-point average for the 2024-25 academic school year. Student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 GPA this past year to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete. This year, 135 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction, while 1,115 Division III men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Macalester's ITA Scholar Athletes are Maxwell Davis (Warwick, Pa./Stone Independent School), Owen Lindstrom (Hanover, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville), Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul, Academy) and Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School) of the Class of 2025, rising junior Kangyu Li (Shanghai, China/Shanghai Southwest Weiyu) and rising sophomore Beckett Annes (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto).
