ST. PAUL, Minn. - First year Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) was selected the MIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 20, the league announced today. This is the second weekly award during the outdoor season and the fifth overall for Rogahn-Press, who broke two school records while posting a top-25 all-time performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday.

Competing mostly against Division I and II athletes, Rogahn-Press finished seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 54.30, which is the second-fastest time in Division III this season, as well as the 23rd-fastest time in Division III history. The time also breaks Macalester's school record of 55.53, set by Hannah Sonsalla '18 in 2018. Emory's Eva Carchidi, who won Rogahn-Press' heat and finished sixth at Georgia Tech in 55.22, ranks first in the 400 this season.

In the 200 meters, Rogahn-Press took 14th in 24.55, which is the 23rd-fastest time in Division III this season. She broke Sonsalla's old record of 24.93, set in 2017. Rogahn-Press now holds Macalester's 200 and 400 records both indoors and outdoors.

The 2025 MIAC Rookie of the Year for women's indoor track, Rogahn-Press was the MIAC Track Athlete of the Week on April 8, the first outdoor awards of the season. She also was named the indoor MIAC Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 10, Feb. 4 and Feb. 18.

Macalester hosts the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Thursday, April 24 and Saturday, April 26 at Macalester Stadium.
