GREENSBORO, N.C. – Macalester College senior
Verity Wray-Raabolle (Owatonna, Minn./Bethlehem Academy) finished her week at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. She competed in the 100-yard freestyle after swimming the 50-yard freestyle on Wednesday and the 100-yard backstroke on Friday.
Wray-Raabolle posted a personal-best time of 53.42 to finish 58th overall. Yesterday, she took 25th in the 100 back with a time of 56.45. She qualified for the NCAAs by swimming a time of 55.17 in the 100 back at the MIAC Championships on the first leg of the Scots' first-place 400-yard medley relay team. The only women's swimmer at the NCAA Championships from the MIAC, Wray-Raabolle also won the 100 back title at the MIAC meet for the second time in the past three years.
The NCAA Championships marked the final competition as a Scot for Wray-Raabolle, who earned All-MIAC 13 times, including five times in individual events.
