| By:
GREENSBORO, N.C. –  Macalester College senior Verity Wray-Raabolle (Owatonna, Minn./Bethlehem Academy) swam the 100-yard backstroke at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. She finished 25th overall and did not qualify for the finals.

Swimming her specialty, Wray-Raabolle turned in a time of 56.45 in the 100 back to take seventh in her heat, which saw six swimmers make the finals. She qualified for the NCAAs by swimming a time of 55.17 at the MIAC Championships on the first leg of the Scots' first-place 400-yard medley relay team. The only women's swimmer at the NCAA Championships from the MIAC, Wray-Raabolle also won the 100 back title at the MIAC meet for the second time in the past three years.

Wray-Raabolle will conclude the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Mar. 22 by competing in the 100-yard freestyle, which will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Eastern.
