MANKATO, Minn. -  Macalester College first year Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) broke both of her school records on Friday at the Maverick Premier, hosted by Minnesota State-Mankato. Rogahn-Press competed in the 200 and 400 meters, placing fifth and second, respectively.

In her first race of the day, Rogahn-Press finished second in the 400 with a time of 56.22, breaking her old mark of 56.67 set in Mankato on Feb. 1. The time currently ranks fourth in Division III. Then in the 200 meters, she clocked a time of 25.23, eclipsing her previous record of 25.59 set at Macalester's Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on Jan. 25. The performance moved Rogahn-Press up to 13th in Division III.

The meet marks the fourth and fifth time Rogahn-Press has broken a school record, including three times in the 400 meters. She has been named the MIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week twice so far this season.

Macalester's next meet is on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Saint John's University for the CSB/SJU Invitational. Rogahn-Press' next competition is the Tostrud Classic at St. Olaf on Feb. 21.
