EDINA, Minn. – The Macalester College women's golf team competed at the St. Kate's Fall Invitational at Braemar Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. The Scots tied with Bethel University for fourth place in the team standings.
Leading the way for Macalester was junior
Bailey Lengfelder (Renton, Wash./Hazen), who carded a 74 75 - 149 to take sixth individually. Junior
Emily Bruce (Orleans, Ontario/Ashbury College) and first years
Ava Austria (Portland, Ore./Catlin Gabel) and
Karina Serio (Colora, Md./The Tome School) each shot 160 to tie for 22nd and complete the Scots' top four. First year
Mia Cluff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) also had a solid tournament, finishing one stroke behind with a 161 to tie for 27th.
Macalester plays its final tournament before the MIAC Championships next weekend, Sept. 21-22 at the D3 Classic, hosted by Gustavus at Emerald Greens in Hastings, Minn.
