Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Macalester College women's tennis team played its first of four matches down in Orlando, Fla. today. The Scots played the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern. The Scots fell 6-3 and are now 3-3 (1-1 MIAC).
The Scots scored both their points in singles rounds. Sophomore
Elizabeth Trevathan (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) took the point at No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-1). Fellow sophomore
Savannah Haugen (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) won at fifth singles in a hard fought three set match (7-5, 3-6, 6-1). The Polar Bears took the points at second, third, and sixth singles, while No. 1 singles was left incomplete. Ohio Northern also took the points at first, second, and third doubles.
The Scots' next match will be Wednesday March 13 at 8:30 am CDT. Macalester will play Roger Williams University.
