MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Macalester College women's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Minnesota's First Chance Meet Friday and Saturday afternoon at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The meet was the final competition leading up to the MIAC Championships.
Senior
Jocelyn Radke (Indianapolis, Ind.) posted the highlight of the meet by setting a school record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.07. The time breaks her own record of 53.34 set in 2022. Sophomore
Hannah Zurn (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) finished third in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.01. Junior
Caroline Chapon (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a lifetime-best time of 24.74. Sophomore
Skye Schmit (Stillwater, Minn.) turned in a season-best time of 1:57.07 in the 200-yard freestyle to take third.
The MIAC Championships will be held Feb. 14-17 at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.
