NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's cross country team ran at the Cannon River Closer against host St. Olaf Thursday afternoon. The Oles won the team scoring, 15-47.
First year
Jack Riley (Wrenshall, Minn./Wrenshall) was the first Scot across the finish line in sixth place, covering the 5-kilometer course in 16:18.90. Sophomore
Quinn Hoisington (Seattle, Wash./Lincoln) was next in eighth place (16:25.10), followed by first year
Caleb Hatlevig (Stow, Mass./Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School) in 10th (16:27.60). Sophomore
Owen Lafferty (Woodbury, Minn./Mounds Park Academy) and junior
Jay Lebakken (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) closed out the top five for Macalester in 13th and 14th, respectively.
The Scots will race at the NCAA North Region Meet on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Carleton.
