ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming & diving team wrapped up its home meet schedule with a dual against Grinnell College Saturday afternoon at Riley Pool. The Scots also honored their seniors as a part of Senior Day. Grinnell outscored Macalester 199-83 in the team scoring.
The Scots won three individual events. Junior
Adam Schroeder (Altadena, Calif./St. Francis) won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:23.14, out-touching Connor Smith by .23. First year
Thomas Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) captured the 100-yard freestyle, winning in 48.69. Sophomore
Dylan Herlihy (Reading, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 189.35.
Junior
Charles Batsaikhan (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/East Chapel Hill) posted a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (59.53) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.37). Moore also placed second in two events: the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.42) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.37).

William Haby (Denver, Colo./George Washington) in the 200-yard butterfly and the 500-yard freestyle, junior
Ryan McNeff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) in the 1650 freestyle, junior
Isaac Kisker (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) in the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore
Casey Meretta (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) in the 200-yard backstroke, sophomore
Will St. John (McGaheysville, Va./East Rockingham) in the 200-yard breaststroke, and sophomore
TJ Palli (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) in the 200-yard individual medley.
During the dual, the Scots honored their seniors
William Nicholson (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely) and
Brian Pryzby (Skokie, Ill./Niles West), who were competing in their final meet at Riley Pool.
Macalester will compete in the Minnesota First Chance Meet on Feb. 9-10 at the University of Minnesota in the Scots' final tune-up before the MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 14-17.
