ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team will compete in five events, before competing in the MIAC Championships on Oct. 28. The Scots will begin the 2023 campaign on Sept 1 at the Ole 5K Opener, at St. Olaf in Northfield.
Macalester returns to Northfield two weeks later, on Sept 16, for the Running of the Cows at Carleton. The Scots then head out of state for the next three meets. On Sept 29, Macalester will run at the Blugold Invitational, hosted by UW-Eau Claire. The Scots then will compete in two meets on Oct 14, sending athletes to both Glassboro, N.J. for the Rowan University Inter-Region Border Battle, and West Salem, Wis. for the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invite.
The MIAC Championships will be held at Carleton in Northfield on Oct 28. UW-Eau Claire will host the NCAA North Region Meet on Nov 11 with qualifiers advancing to the NCAA Division III Championships on Nov 18 in Newville, PA.
Last season, the Scots finished fourth at the MIAC Championships, the team's best finish since 2013. The program features nine seniors and is coached by
Dan Schofer.
