ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College football team had nine student-athletes inducted into the 2022 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF & College Hall of Fame announced today. The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football players who have distinguished themselves both academically and athletically.
Macalester's honorees are
Kai Akimoto (Tamuning, Guam/Father Duenas Memorial School),
Daniel Beidelschies (Kenyon, Minn./Bethlehem Academy),
Paul Brinson (Buffalo, N.Y./Nichols School),
Jacob Bulling (Albuquerque, N.M./Volcano Vista),
Brody Fuller (Groveland, Mass./St. Mark's School),
Pierce Lundt (Santa Barbara, Calif./Cate School),
Grady Munro (Calgary, Alberta/Springbank Community),
Jon Neve (Minnetrista, Minn./Mound Westonka), and
Aidan Trummel (Portland, Ore./Woodrow Wilson).
Requirements for membership into the NFF Hampshire Honor Society include being a starter or significant contributor in one's last year of eligibility, achieving a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and meeting all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements. An elite group of 1,559 players from 313 schools across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA qualified for membership in the 16th year of the program.
