ST. PAUL, Minn. – Eight members of the Macalester College football team earned a spot on the Division III Football Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Communicators announced today. Senior offensive linemen

Noel Raehl (Chicago, Ill./Whitney M. Young Magnet), senior defensive back
Jacob Degnan (Kansas City, Mo./The Pembroke Hill School), sophomore receiver
Paxton Boyd (Newton, Mass./Newton South), sophomore linebacker
Dylan Jeppe (Glencoe, Ill./New Trier), sophomore defensive lineman
Jake Ray (Houston, Texas/Tompkins) and sophomore running back
Tucker Snow (Gresham, Ore./Gresham) earned Academic All-District honors, which recognizes student-athletes for excellence in academics and athletics.
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically; have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50; and have played in 90 percent of their team's games or have started at least 66 percent of their team's games to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.
This is the third year on the Academic All-District Team for Clifford, who started on the offensive line for most of his four-year career. As a senior, he earned All-MIAC honors after contributing to a line that helped the Scots rank fifth in the conference in rushing. Also a two-time Academic All-MIAC honoree, Clifford is majoring in data science.
Lail bounced back this season after missing all but one game in 2024 with an injury, starting all 10 games at left tackle. He is majoring in both economics and computer science.
Raehl returned for a fifth season in 2025 after suffering a season-ending injury in 2024. He started every game this season on the offensive line. An economics and computer science double major, Raehl earned Academic All-MIAC recognition in 2022 and 2023.
Degnan started at safety for the Scots the past three seasons, registering 28 tackles and an interception as a senior. In 38 career games, he totaled 130 tackles, four picks, 15 pass breakups and a fumble recovery. Also a two-time member of the Academic All-MIAC Team, Degnan is an economics major at Macalester.
Boyd led the Scots in receiving this season, catching 53 passes for 719 yards and six touchdowns to rank eighth in the MIAC in both receptions and receiving yards. He is a data science and economics double major.
Jeppe had a standout sophomore season at linebacker, leading Macalester in tackles with 61. He also had 3.5 tackles-for-loss, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup. Jeppe is majoring in environmental studies.
Ray led the Scots with five hurries as a starting defensive end, registering 2.0 sacks, 5.0 tackles-for-loss and 28 total tackles. He is an economics major.
Snow served as a blocking back in Macalester's effective running game while also gaining 99 yards on 33 carries. He also caught 10 passes for 65 yards. Snow is majoring in physics and economics.
