ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming & diving team hosted Saint John's in a dual meet on Saturday at Riley Pool. The Johnnies won the team scoring with 184.0 points to 54.0 points for Macalester.
Sophomore
Charles Batsaikhan (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/East Chapel Hill) registered the only victory for the Scots, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.80. He also finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.27. Also finishing second was first year
Kynan DeSouza-Chen (Boulder, Colo./Fairview), who was runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.89.
First year
TJ Palli (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) was second in the 100 free (50.26) and third in the 50-yard freestyle (50.26). First year
Casey Meretta (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) finished third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.70. Taking fourth were sophomore
Jay Fanning (Tiffin, Ohio/Columbian) in the 1000-yard freestyle, sophomore
Ryan McNeff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) in the 400-yard individual medley, first year
Alec Chen (Edina, Minn./Edina) in the 100-yard butterfly, sophomore
Isaac Kisker (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) in the 100-yard freestyle and first year
Will St. John (McGaheysville, Va./East Rockingham) in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Next up for Macalester is another home dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 5 against Carleton. The meet starts at 1:00 p.m. at Riley Pool.
