West Salem, Wis. – The Macalester College men's cross-country team competed at the UW-La Crosse/Jim Drews Invite today. The Scots finished 11
th out of 28 teams.
The first Scot across the finish line was sophomore
Nick Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North), who took 30
th with a time of 25:47.5. Fellow sophomore
Ben Crotteau (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southeast) was the next Scot to finish the race, placing 67
th with a time of 26:22.4. Third across the finish line for Macalester was sophomore
Tor Olsson (Northampton, Mass./Northampton), finishing in a time of 26:31.3 (84
th). Following closely behind was sophomore
Reece McKee (Charlottesville, VA./Charlottesville) in 88
th (26.33.6). Junior
Alexander Fendig (Chevy Chase, MD./Sandy Spring Friends School) completed the Scots top five runners, placing 98
th with a time of 26:42.1. First year
Jordan Galloway (Portland, Ore./Grant) and sophomore
Brock Adams (Corona, CA/Santiago) were the sixth and seventh runners for Macalester across the finish line.
The Scots' next meet will be the MIAC Cross Country Championships. The meet will be Saturday Oct 29 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
