ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's swimming and diving team broke four school records en route to a first-place finish in the team standings, as the Scots hosted the Roger Ahlman Invitational Friday and Saturday at Riley Pool. First year

Natalie Pollock (Madison, Wis./Madison West) won the event in 4:03.39, besting the old school record of 4:05.55, set in 2017. Wray-Raabolle's leadoff leg also broke the school record for the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.93. The old record of 1:00.10 was set by
Ana Thompson '20 in 2018.

Eleanor Parker (Milton, Wis./Milton) won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:59.28, first year
Caroline Chapon (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) was victorious in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14.91, and Radke finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.84. First year
Olga Merkadeau (Lafayette, Calif./The College Preparatory School) took second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.97), while junior

Saturday's morning session saw the Scots win again in the relays, with the 200-yard medley relay team of Wray-Raabolle, Madigan, Pollock and Radke winning with a time of 1:52.14. Chapon, Merkadeau, Radke and first year
Anna Rakowski (Vergennes, Vt./Vergennes Union) combined to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:40.62.
Individually, Pollock captured the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.10, and Wray-Raabolle won the 100-yard backstroke in 58.42. Second-place finishes were turned in by first year
Olivia Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Shorewood) in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.55), and Merkadeau in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.52). Taking third for the Scots were Lewandowski in the 400-yard individual medley (5:13.75), Chapon in the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.85), and Radke in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.49).
In the evening session, Wray-Raabolle broke her second school record of the meet, winning the 200-yard backstroke in 2:08.56. Thompson also set the old record of 2:10.90 in 2018. Chapon and Radke each earned their second victories of the meet, with Chapon taking first in the 500-yard freestyle (5:18.70) and Radke winning the 100-yard freestyle (54.18). Lewandowski earned a victory in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:18.44. Four Scots turned in second-place finishes in the evening: Madigan in the 500 freestyle (5:25.95), junior
Zoe Machmer Frederick (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East) in the 200 backstroke (2:18.19), Merkadeau in the 100 freestyle (54.28) and Johnson in the 200 butterfly (2:18.58). Third-place finishes were posted by Parker in the 500 freestyle and Pollock in the 200 butterfly (2:18.88).
The Scots closed out the meet the way they started it, with a school record. The team of Chapon, Merkadeau, Radke and Madigan won the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:37.36, besting the old mark of 3:40.05 set in 2010.
In the diving events, junior
Katie Kelbrants (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis South) placed third on the 1-meter board with a score of 339.25. She also finished second on the 3-meter board with a score of 357.70.
Macalester next competes at Hamline on Jan. 14.
