Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester based on the emphasis on internationalism and multiculturalism, in addition to being able to play sports while continuing with my academic career. One particular example of this was when I asked coaches about studying abroad (which is something I am very interested in doing) and they told me they expected/encouraged me to study away.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you?
Academically, I have been given the chance to intellectually challenge myself. I have the freedom to explore questions that intrigue me and expand myself as a scholar. Athletically, I have been given the chance to develop myself. The coaches are very hands on, they help provide feedback and advice - things that weren’t as readily available during my high school and club years - which helped me fix critical mistakes.
