ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming and diving team participated in a dual meet with Saint John's University, with the swimming taking place at Saint John's on Friday and the diving occurring at Macalester on Saturday. The Johnnies won the dual, 187-91.
First year
Charles Batsaikhan (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/East Chapel Hill) won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.10. He also placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.52. First year
Isaac Kisker (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) turned in a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (23.12), while fellow first year
Ryan McNeff (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) took second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.75). Senior
Benjamin Blomquist (Las Vegas, Nev./Ed W. Clark) finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.70.
First year
Ben Lewin (Beachwood, Ohio/Beachwood) placed third in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events in 1:07.41 and 2:26.92, respectively. In the distance events, senior
Tanner Hubbard (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) was third in both the 500- (5:27.91) and 1000-yard (11:38.31) freestyle races. Also turning in third-place finishes were first year

Teddy Gu (Los Angeles, Calif./Walnut) in the 100-yard freestyle (51.67).
The Scots' relay teams both were victorious. The team of sophomore
William Nicholson (North Yarmouth, Maine), Batsaikhan, Blomquist and Gu won the 400-yard medley relay in 3:47.85, while the foursome of Blomquist, Batsaikhan, Gu and Kisker won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:22.74.
Macalester returns to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 6 with a dual at Carleton.
