ST. PAUL, Minn.- The sprinters of the Macalester women's swimming and diving team swam well against St. Catherine in the dual meet. First year
Grace Madigan (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and Senior
Francesca Gillis (River Forest, Ill./Trinity) both took home victories in their events, respectfully.
Madigan swam to a first place finish and a second place finish in two of her events. Madigan touched the wall first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.02. Madigan also sprinted to a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.92. Senior
Ariel Roghair (Iowa City, Iowa/West) took third place in the 50 yard freestyle as well as the 100 yard freestyle.

Ana Thompson (Minnetonka, Minn./Orono) placed third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.60. First year
Frances Redpath (Helena, Mont./Helena) and sophomore
Betsy Foy (Omaha, Neb./Harry A. Burke) rounded out the top three in the 100 yard butterfly with times of 1:01.86 and 1:06.74.
Gillis swept the diving events by winning the one meter and three meter dive with final points of 217.70 and 237.20. Macalester also earned a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Thompson, Madigan, first year
Lauren Whyte (Winona Minn./Winona), and first year
Zoe Machmer Frederick (Omaha Neb./Lincoln East) touched the in 1:47.37. Thompson, Foy, Redpath, and Roghair took second place in the 200 yard medley with a final time of 2:01.25.

Final results
The Macalester women's swimming and diving team will host Grinnell College for their senior day and final home meet of the season Saturday, January 25. Senior swimmers will be honored before the meet starts.
