INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Macalester College women's golf team started the 2018 season with a victory over Saint Mary's University in the annual Mac/Mary Dual Friday afternoon at Inverwood Golf Course. The Scots shot a team score of 347, while the Cardinals finished with a score of 395.

First year Kiwa Anisman (Yountville, Calif./Vintage) placed first in the individual standings with a round of 82. Fellow first year Tenley Smith (Williamstown, Mass./Mount Greylock Regional) took second with a score of 85, followed by sophomore Izzy Hebert (Westminster, Colo./Legacy) with a score of 88. First year Emma Iverson (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) and senior Ji Sue Song (Surrey, B.C./Southridge School) rounded out the Scots' lineup, taking fifth and sixth, respectively.

Macalester will play in the College of Saint Benedict Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1-2 at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn.
