ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team lost a non-conference match to Crown College on the road, 25-16, 25-23, 27-25 Wednesday evening. The Scots are now 9-15 on the season, while the Storm improves to 3-22.

Sofi Ascencio (Oakland, Calif./Holy Names) led Macalester with eight kills, while senior outside hitter
Nicole Bennington (Shelton, Wash./Olympia) added five kills. Senior setter
Emily Bowler (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay) contributed 21 assists and nine digs. Defensively, sophomore libero
Abrielle Dillon (Brown Deer, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) racked up 18 digs. Christine Anderson paced Crown with a match-high 10 kills.
The Scots return to conference play on Saturday, Oct. 20 against Bethel University. The MIAC match begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Leonard Center.
