DECORAH, Iowa – The Macalester College men's soccer team lost a non-conference game to Luther College, 2-0 Monday night on the road. The Scots are now 8-4-2 on the season, while the Norse improve to 11-3-1.
Less than 10 minutes into the game, Luther took a 1-0 lead when Harry Merz knocked in a loose ball. The Norse made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal by Rafael Broseghini in the 41st minute. The Scots put two shots on goal in the second half but could not prevent the shutout, as Luther came away with the win.

Colton Wenig (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) recorded three saves for Macalester, while Carson Davenport had three saves for the Norse.
Macalester hosts St. Scholastica in another non-conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
