ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's swimming and diving team finished second against Grinnell College today. The Scots lost 193-71.

Kieran Cuddy (Northfield, Minn.) took first in the men's 1-meter dive with a score of 2659.35 and third in the 3-meter diving with a score or 262.20.
First year G
abe Berman (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) placed first in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.31.
Sophomore
Jay West (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) placed first in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:30.27 and finished fourth in the 165-yard freestyle in 20:19.75.
Sophomore
Ryan Cirillo (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) and first year
Fan Zhang (Shaoxing, China/Shaoxing No. 1) finished fourth and fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.54 and 1:25.08, respectively.
Junior
Sam Dyer (Haverford, Pa./ Haverford) finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:29:76. Senior
Matteo Tormene (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/ George Washington) placed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.41 and fifth in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.23. Tormene also placed fifth in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:14.77.
The Scots compete in the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, Feb. 15 and Friday, Feb. 16 in Minneapolis, MN.
