ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's swimming and diving team hosted its second home meet in the span of two weeks on Saturday, Nov. 22. After placing third among eight teams in the Roger Ahlman Invite last weekend, the Scots hosted Hamline in a dual Saturday afternoon. Macalester defeated the Pipers in final team scores, 154-82.

Meet Highlights: - In the 200-yard freestyle, Macalester grabbed each the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots—with Hannah Bonestroo taking the title in 2:09.77.
- First year Brooke Finney won her first collegiate 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 20:30.55.
- First year Molly Lloyd turned in a solid performance in both the one-meter and three-meter dives, placing 2nd in both events.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, senior captain Alese Halvorson turned in a time of 56.55 to win the event.
- First year Ariana Amini swam lifetime bests in both of her events, including dropping nearly seven seconds in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Sophomore Smaranda Georgescu won the 200-IM with a time of 2:21.61 (Georgescu's third title of the day).
The Scots will return to action on Dec. 5-6 as they compete in the Jean Freeman Invite at the University of Minnesota.
