Macalester plays host Saturday (Nov. 2) at 6 p.m. to Trinity Bible College of Ellendale, North Dakota. The Scots come in at 2-5 on the season and are looking to snap a four-game skid, while the Lions are 1-8 and trying to get out of a seven-game losing slump. Macalester rolled to a 59-0 romp over Trinity a year ago.
Macalester's offensive production is split evenly between the pass and the run, and the team's rushing leader is quarterback
Samson Bialostok, who has run for 474 yards and 5.7 yards a clip, and four touchdowns. He has also passes for 936 yards. Mac's leading pass catcher is
John Johnson with 28 receptions for 389 yards and three scores. Place-kicker
Auburn Jimenez is 7-for-10 on field goals and 12-for-12 on extra point tries. Leading the Macalester defense are
Ryan Fleming with 51 ½ tackles and
Jole Miller with 38 ½.
Trinity Bible lost a narrow three-point game last weekend to Haskell Indian Nations University for consecutive loss number seven. Saturday's rivals have two common opponents: Mayville State and Maranatha Baptist. Mayville beat Trinity 35-0 and beat Mac 26-18, while Macalester and Trinity both defeated Maranatha.
