Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Macalester wrapped up its 10-game Spring Break trip by splitting a twinbill with Wisconsin-La Crosse.  The Scots, who went 4-6 in Arizona, scored three times in the first inning and four more times in each of the second and third frames, to win the opener 11-7.  UW-La Crosse, however, avoided the sweep by claiming the nightcap 5-4.

In the first game, four Scots had a couple hits each: Ross Bronfenbrenner (So., San Anselmo, Calif. / Marin Academy), Mitch Glasser (Sr., Chicago, Ill. / Latin School), Garrett Salzman (Sr., Glendale, Calif. / St. Francis) and Nick Mar (Fy., Sacramento, Calif. / McClatchy). 

Salzman and Robert Williams (Sr., West Covina, Calif. / Northview) drove in three runs apiece.  Scoring three runs each were the first three batters in the order: Graham Brown (Sr., Annandale, Minn.), Bronfenbrenner and Glasser.

Brown and David Melms (Jr., Wauwatosa, Wis. / Wisconsin Lutheran) each collected two hits in the nightcap. 

Macalester batted .295 over the 10 games, led by Williams at .394, Bronfenbrenner at .355 and Mar at .345.

The Scots (now 6-8 on the year) play Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday (March 21) at the Metrodome at 7 p.m.
