Complete Macalester vs. St. Olaf & Hamline results

Returning to the pool one day after returning from a training trip in Florida, the Scots split an MIAC double dual meet at St. Olaf College in Northfield, defeating Hamline 81-37 and losing to St. Olaf 93-30.  Last year's MIAC runner-up, St. Olaf dominated nearly every event.

Macalester started off the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:52.61) behind a pair of St. Olaf teams.  Relay team members were Wojciech Michno (Fy., Domsjo, Sweden / UWC - Red Cross Nordic), Nathan Schachtman (So., St. Louis, Mo. / Ladue), Domi Lauko (So., Whitefish Bay, Wis.) and Clark Jacobson (So., Harvard, Mass. / The Bromfield School).

Michno placed third for the Scots in the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.26).  Mac swimmers to turn in the fourth best time against the Oles and Pipers were James Innelli (So., Rose Valley, Pa. / Strath Haven) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.24), Schachtman in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.94), and Jacobson in the 500 freestyle (5:44.55).

Macalester returns to the pool for a home dual meet Monday, Jan. 16 against Wisconsin-River Falls at 12 noon.
