Complete Macalester vs. St. Olaf results

The Scots returned from their Winter Break training trip to Florida by hosting St. Olaf in an MIAC dual meet at Riley Pool, and were defeated by the Oles 169-90.

Nathan Young (Sr., Denver, Colo. / Littleton) placed first in a couple very close finishes to lead the way for Macalester. Young won the 100-yard backstroke (52.82) and 50 freestyle (22.78).

Jeff Yamashita (Sr., Honolulu, Hi. / Iolani School) also had a strong meet, winning the 100-yard butterfly (54.43) and swimming to a runner-up finish in the 100 free (50.16).

In the 100 breaststroke, Nathan Schachtman (Fy., St. Louis, Mo. / Ladue) placed third (1:10.11).

Macalester competes in a triangular Saturday (Jan. 15) against St. John's and Carleton in Collegeville.
