Macalester played five games over the weekend, closing out with an 18-10 defeat to Carthage (Wis.) at the College Water Polo Association (CWPA) “West vs. Central” tournament. The first two days were played at Chatham University in Pittsburg and today's match was held at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa.  Sarah Ellerton netted five goals for the Scots.

The Scots led 7-6 at the halftime break after dominating the second period, but Carthage took the game by out-scoring Macalester 12-3 in the second half.

Sarah Ellerton (Sr., Suffield, Conn. / Suffield Academy) scored five goals and Catherine Flint (So., Palo Alto, Calif. / Henry Gunn) added three to lead the Scots. Ramona McCabe (So., Santa Cruz, Calif. / San Lorenzo Valley) and Brianna Besch (Fy., Cairo, Egypt / Cairo American College) each scored one goal.

The Scots travel to California for eight matches over Spring Break March 13-20.
