Macalester vs. Wisconsin-Superior statistics

Macalester lost a three-set match at Wisconsin-Superior, falling by scores of 17-25, 23-25 and 15-25. The Scots are now 2-3 on the young season, while UW-Superior goes to 5-2.

Steffanie Fisher (Fy., Lindenhurst, Ill. / Lakes Community) distributed 23 assists and also provided nine digs to lead the way for Macalester.

Marie Godwin (Sr., Chaska, Minn.) led the defense with 14 digs. Up front, the team's top attackers were Erin Cusac (Sr., Pine River, Minn. / Pine River-Backus) and Majra Mucic (Jr., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.) each with seven kills, and Anna Trier (Fy., Sun Prairie, Wis.) with six.

UW-Superior was led by Chelsie Christoffers with 15 kills.

Macalester plays this Friday and Saturday (Sept. 11-12) at the Augsburg Invitational in Minneapolis. The Scots will play No. 13-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Northwestern (Minn.) on Friday and the following day will take on No. 21 St. Benedict and one other opponent. Augsburg Invitational web site
