Macalester vs. St. Benedict statistics
No. 20-ranked St. Benedict, fresh off a big win over ninth-ranked St. Thomas, moved into a three-way tie for first place in the MIAC with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-10 sweep over the Scots in St. Joseph. The Blazers hit .322 and slammed 43 kills in the three sets.
Winners of 15 of the last 16 matches, the Blazers improve to 20-5 overall and at 6-1 in the MIAC, and are in a three-way tie for first with St. Olaf and St. Thomas. Macalester drops to 6-13 on the season, 0-7 in the MIAC.
Majra Mucic (Jr,. Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.) spiked nine of Macalester's 18 kills to lead the way for the Scots, while
Marie Godwin (Sr., Chaska, Minn.) led the back row with seven digs to go along with four kills. Collective five digs apiece were
Erin Cusac (Sr., Pine River, Minn. / Pine River-Backus),
Kiera Coulter (Jr., Davis, Calif.) and
Glasha Marcon (Fy., Richmond, Calif. / Albany).
St. Ben's was led by Emma Jaynes and Kayli Schumacher with 10 kills each.
