Nathan Knox ('03), a two-time all-American for the Scots soccer team, reported this week to pre-season training with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the United Soccer League D1.
Last year Knox played with the national champion Seattle Sounders and in the two previous seasons he played for the Minnesota Thunder. He was signed to a three-year contract by the Silverbacks.
Knox is expected to play as a forward in Atlanta after two successful seasons as the team scoring leading for both the Sounders and Thunder until injuries cut short both seasons. If Knox is able to remain his fitness, Atlanta will hope to see the same kind of goal production from him that he is exhibited at other professional clubs.
Knox from Christchurch, New Zealand, has also played soccer in the US off-season for Canterbury United of the New Zealand National League.
