Macalester vs. Pomon-Pitzer statistics | Video clips from the match: Jordan Eckstein's  goal follows a Jenny Lee save | Emily Bardwell hits one off the bar | Bardwell scores from Jordan Eckstein pass

A day after losing to Occidental by a goal, Macalester dropped another one-goal decision on the West Coast as Pomona-Pitzer rallied from behind to beat the Scots 3-2 Sunday in Claremont. Macalester, which also had a lead in Saturday's setback to Occidental, is now 8-7 on the season. Pomona-Pitzer, coached by former Mac All-American and all-time scoring leader Jen Scanlon '95, is now 6-7-1 overall.

After netting her first collegiate goal one day earlier in Los Angeles against Occidental, Jordan Eckstein (So., Northampton, Mass.) scored in the first half on an Emily Bardwell (So., Denver, Colo. East) assist to tie the score at 1-1. Eckstein returned the favor in the second half, assisting on a Bardwell goal which put the Scots on top for the moment at 2-1. This was Bardwell's fourth score of the season.

Pomona-Pitzer had a penalty kick and then tallied the game-winner with about 15 minutes to play.

Macalester closes out the regular-season with three MIAC games, starting with a Wednesday night (Oct. 22) tilt with St. Catherine at 7:45 p.m. The Scots are 5-3 in the MIAC and are in the thick of a multi-team battle to make the four-team league playoffs. St. Thomas (7-0-2) has already clinched a spot, while the other three positions are up for grabs between Augsburg (4-0-4), Carleton (6-2), Concordia (5-2-2), St. Benedict (6-3), Mac (5-3) and St. Olaf (4-2-1).
