Carley Bomstad graduated from Macalester in 2004 and remains one of the program's all-time great players. Carley played middle hitter and was a four-time MIAC first team all-conference player, two-time all-region selection and honorable mention All-American her senior year ('03). She made an immediate impact on the team her first year, earning MIAC and Central Region Freshman of the Year honors. She holds the Mac all-time season blocking records in block assists (111) and total blocks (130), is third on the all-time career kills list with 1,103, and holds our career block record with 412 total blocks. In addition Carley was a two-time captain and two-time team MVP ('02 & '03). Carley was an Apple Valley High School (Minn.) graduate and played with the Northern Lights Volleyball Club program. In addition to working for the Macalester volleyball program, she is an Assistant Editor at EMC Paradigm Publishing in St. Paul .
