ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College men's basketball seniors
Ryan Brush (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue) and
Noah Shannon (Northfield, Ill./New Trier) were included on the Division III Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Communicators announced. Brush is making his third appearance on the Academic All-District Team, while Shannon is a repeat selection.
Brush started 18 of his 21 games played for the Scots this season, averaging 7.6 points per game. He ranked third on the team with 37 threes. A biology major, Brush totaled 604 points and made 158 threes in 89 games as a Scot.
Shannon was named to the All-MIAC and All-Region teams after leading Macalester in both scoring (21.4 points per game) and rebounding (7.9 rebounds per game). His scoring average ranked second in the MIAC this season. An economics and statistics double major, Shannon completed his career at Macalester with 1,097 points, 529 rebounds and 203 assists in 82 games.
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and play in 90 percent or start 66 percent of the team's games to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.
