ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's basketball team will play the University of St. Thomas on Nov. 11 at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena. The game, which is an exhibition for Macalester and a regular-season contest for St. Thomas, is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.

The match-up will mark the first meeting between the two teams since Jan. 22, 2020, when St. Thomas was a member of the MIAC. After the 2020-21 season was canceled, the Tommies transitioned to Division I, where they now play in the Summit League. Johnny Tauer remains the St. Thomas head coach, as he begins his 16th year with the Tommies.

Prior to the 2023-24 season, Macalester played an exhibition game at the University of Minnesota in front of hundreds of boisterous Scot fans. Guard Caleb Williams '24 put on a show, scoring 41 points to the delight of the Macalester faithful.

The Scots, coached by Rich Glesmann, welcome seven newcomers to the roster. The regular season gets underway on Nov. 7 with a home game against Wartburg College.
