BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team earned the doubles point and won the first three singles matches to beat UW-Stevens Point, 4-3 in a non-conference dual Friday evening at Lifetime Fitness. The win is the first of the season for the Scots, who are now 1-2 on the season. The Pointers drop to 4-4.

Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) and first year
Charles Flaman (Calgary, Alberta/Rundle College) won their match at No. 1 doubles and UW-Stevens Point took the match at No. 2 doubles, sophomore
Zach Dajani (Singapore/Singapore American School) and first year
Ezra Mahoney (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) earned a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles, clinching the doubles point.
In singles play, Doi beat Dawson Froemming, 6-3, 6-3 at first singles, and Flaman was victorious at second singles over Conner Kryscio, 6-3, 6-4. Junior
Kangyu Li (Shanghai, China/Shanghai Southwest Weiyu) clinched the dual with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 win over Anthony Janes at third singles.
Macalester takes on Edgewood College in a non-conference dual on Feb. 20 at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
